Learning Community
As part of creating a dynamic, engaging, and interactive learning environment within a company, SSE has developed the concept of "Virtual Learning Communities". Taking the experience beyond placing a number of courses online for learners, companies can develop and cultivate a rich and rewarding community of online learners that will foster education and performance goals as well as have a significant effect on retention, morale, and learner camaraderie. A client branded Virtual Learning Community provides students with a focal point for learning and knowledge sharing.
Virtual Learning Communities are where all learners can, for example, research courses, view other employees' comments regarding specific courses and materials, download job aids or other learning support materials, read articles or view mini "lessonettes" highlighting new course releases as well as access online courses. A learning community can foster a supportive environment that results in a facilitated instructional experience. Students quickly begin to rely on the community for valuable, highly engaging learning experiences that will catalyze success both related to the specific subject matter and to their broader professional growth.
